In the Spencer Gulf of South Australia it is caught from March to June open 2 weeks per month, November 2 weeks, December 2 weeks.
	This king prawn species is of smaller commercial value in the Queensland region being most often caught and mixed with the red spot king prawn with similar eating characteristics. It is however an extremely important catching species in south Australia's Spencer Gulf with packaging and characteristics identical to that of the Eastern Ocean King Prawn.
