	The tiger prawn is Australia's highest valued species in international markets. This prawn has a unique appearance, coupled with its excellent eating characteristics, attracts a premium in the Japanese market. The two species that are commercially sold as tiger prawns (brown tiger and grooved tiger) are very closely related.
